The EC Restaurant Guide!

Where have you eaten out in NY? Was it a good experience? What kind of food did you have? Was it expensive or cheap? How was the service? What are the good points and the bad points of the restaurant? Would you recommend it to your classmates? How many stars? (1-5)

I'm getting hungry just thinking about it!

Here is my entry:

I recently had dinner at Café Havana in Union Square. They serve Cuban food. When you walk in, you can already tell it’s a really exciting atmosphere. There’s fun music playing, and it was quite crowded.We had to wait about 15 minutes for a table. I ordered a Mojito to drink (a  beverage with rum, lime and mint), an appetizer and an entrée.

For the appetizer, I had four-cheese empanadas. They were fried, gooey and delicious! For the entrée, I had a stuffed pepper filled with vegetables and cheese. This was tasty, but I wish the dish had been larger.

The prices were pretty reasonable: the drink was about $8, the appetizer was $5, and my main dish was $14.

The server was very friendly and helpful. He made our experience even better.

Overall, this is a fun place with good food and drinks. I would recommend going with friends to Café Havana.

I give it 4 out of 5 stars.

Hello!

One of my favorites places to visit in NYC is the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA for short.) They have an amazing collection of art. They feature famous artists like van Gogh, Picasso, Monet, and Jackson Pollack. They also have many new, lesser-known artists such as Marina Abramovic and Barbara Kruger. It is a huge museum with six floors and all different kinds of art. In the summertime, you can hang out in their outdoor sculpture garden and eat gelato. This is a very popular spot for international tourists. I always hear many different languages being spoken in the museum. I feel like I always learn a lot when I visit this museum. It's relaxing, interesting and fun. On Friday nights, admission is free!
